Hello, and welcome!
My name is Eva Loomis and I am obsessed with organizing.
Ever since I was young I've had a tendency towards organizing and tidying, though I stifled it during the teenage years, thinking it was too "square." Later on, I began embracing my inner neat freak, realizing that for me it was part of a long path towards freedom and simplicity (and just who I am!). I soon learned I could turn my interest into something I love doing for and with others.
This realization came after lots of introspection and soul searching, and a journey that has included a bachelor’s degree, digging trail, working in a doctor’s office, on farms, in natural food stores, as a social worker, serving three stints with AmeriCorps (including two years with VISTA), and backpacking through Asia for six months. I enjoy thinking about the relationships to the things we own and their purpose, design, usefulness, and place.
I embrace the fact that, as individuals, we all have different priorities and organizational and life goals, and I want to enable my clients to achieve their own.
Organizing isn't about tossing out everything except 30 belongings. It's not even necessarily only about objects either, and it is certainly not about what my aspirations for your areas of concern are.
Rather, it's about you. It's about making the systems and interactions in your life with objects, data, and time work for you so you can begin to focus on what’s truly important to you.
My role as a professional organizer and a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers is to provide context; to fuel and facilitate the process; and to pass on my organizing knowledge. I bring patience, understanding, and a nonjudgmental perspective to present information in a way that allows the client to make informed decisions and choices during the organizing process.
Some say our outside world is a reflection of our inner world; as within, so without. Orderliness can create relaxation, peace, freedom and renewed energy. If you are ready to choose this path, visit the Contact page or the Facebook page to get started!
